AJAY Development Fund

Just over one year in the business, and AJAY Apparel is already making a significant difference in the corporate clothing space.

In addition to working with six multinational clients, along with a number of South African companies, the AJAY Development Fund was also established in the first year of business. The fund supports a manufacturing start-up and has proudly watched their operation increase in both employment and capacity within the first year.

Through the AJAY Development Fund, the business facilitates and provides support to a 100% black owned manufacturing start-up. This support is demonstrated in several ways, including providing continuous business flow to the operation, providing a rent-free work space and rent-free machinery.

This assistance allows the start-up to keep overhead costs to a minimum. Along with mentorship, this support has allowed the start-up to flourish and grow, doubling their employment rate within the first year.
