All too often, we find ourselves zooming in on the perfectly fitted and tailored tuxedo or suit jacket, forgetting that the pants are just as important!
Have you ever heard of someone wearing the pants in a relationship? There is a reason behind this, the person wearing the pants is the one “in charge” or as we like to say, they carry a certain level of respect and authority.

At AJAY Apparel, we feel it is highly important to wear pants in the right way so that you really do carry the right level of respect and authority in your work space and beyond. We have the best denims and chinos in town.
We believe it is time for you to put your big boy pants on, and take ownership of your work pants. Here are 3 style tips, straight from us to you.
1. Fit
When it comes to investing in a pair of tailored trousers, the fit is definitely one of the most important elements to consider.
When pants are too tight or too loosely fitted, they send the wrong message to whoever you encounter in the corporate or work setting.
Make sure your crotch isn’t hanging too low either, or hugging your sensitive area too tightly. You want the perfect amount of room to breath combined with drawing as little attention down below as possible.
You may think people won’t notice, but we are here to tell you, they will notice, even if subconsciously.
2. Sit
Where your trousers or pants sit on your hips is an important aspect of well tailored trousers. They should not sit too high, giving you that nerdy look, and they certainly should not be hanging on your buttox, or below it!
Make sure your pants are comfortably on your hips, and avoid getting a pair that are too tight for you. They should close at the zip and button comfortably, and fit perfectly between your navel and hips.
The ankle area of your pants should not be too high, showing off too much of those funky socks you got for your birthday. Neither should they be too low, brushing on the ground as you walk. They should sit comfortably on your ankle.
3. Comfort
Overall, you want to be comfortable and confident in your big boy pants. When you don’t have to worry about little outfit ‘issues’ you will be focused on the job at hand, giving you the professional authority you need to thrive.
Chinos and denims are incredible fabrics for your everyday business casual dress, depending on the weather. A pair of lightweight fabric trousers is also a great investment, just make sure you’ve tailored the fit. After all, everybody is unique.
Our chinos and denims are the perfect everyday quality, fit and look, offering you the tailored, bespoke style you need to look professional. Get in touch with us today for a quote.
